Multiple Tooth Implant
Plano, TX

An example of a dental implant at Dallas Oral Surgery Associates in Plano, TXLife moves by fast, and it can be easy to overlook your health and body. With busy days, you might feel like there is not much time for visiting the doctor. However, because life comes and goes quickly, it is important to be healthy, both physically and mentally. That way, each day will be lived to its fullest.

If you are suffering from tooth loss, it might be tempting to grab some over-the-counter medications and try to resolve the issue temporarily. While visiting our dentist and coming up with a treatment plan may seem like a tedious task, we at Dallas Oral Surgery Associates will guide you through every step and ensure that you save as much time and money as possible.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Resolving the root cause of an issue will always benefit you in the long run. Implanting new teeth to replace the missing ones is the best solution for tooth loss. Your biting and chewing ability will be restored to its full potential. Dental implants can stop bone deterioration and prevent premature facial aging.

Gum lines will be kept intact, and the new teeth will be comfortable and stable in your mouth while looking and feeling just like natural teeth. With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. Furthermore, with your new teeth, you will be able to eat all of your favorite foods, smile with confidence, and have a higher self-esteem. Your quality of life will improve significantly.

The Procedure

It is important to reach out and discuss getting teeth implants. We will take everything into consideration and provide the best, personalized treatment plan for you. Depending on the locations of the missing teeth, only local anesthesia might be required.

In general, the first step is to drill a hole into the jawbone in which the implant will be inserted.
Some sutures will be used to hold the gum tissue to secure the implant. These sutures will be removed usually in seven to 10 days. In the next two to six months, the bones will gradually hold the implants firmly in place.

Once they are stable, the abutments, or attachments, will be attached to the implants. The gums will need to heal for about two weeks after this procedure.

Finally, your new teeth will be connected to the abutments, and you’ll smile and speak in no time. This procedure will be repeated for every tooth implant.

[[[H2:Recovery Time and Cost]]
How fast you recover depends on your body’s response to the implant, your general health, your oral hygiene practices, and many other factors. The full recovery time can range anywhere from two to six months. The good news is that you should be able to go to work right after the procedure, so you will not miss out on opportunities and social events.

There is usually some level of discomfort during the first few weeks of recovery, including bruising and swelling. Be sure to check in regularly with us to determine the health of the implants and for possible medications if needed.

The cost varies on your insurance plan and the exact procedure. Feel free to reach out to us at Dallas Oral Surgery Associates if you would like more information. If you have any questions regarding multiple tooth dental implants, please call us at 972-733-0414.
